Taking care of your body both outside and in is imperative to living the best life possible. Fortunately we live in a time when there are many experts to whom we can look for advice and insights for whole body wellness.
I’ve given some thought to my top 15 health and fitness influencers and am happy to share them with you.
Robert Atkins
Atkins has become synonymous with low carb eating. Developed in the late 1960s by Dr. Robert Atkins, this diet encourages low carbohydrates and high protein focus that forces the body to burn fat for fuel. A cardiologist, Dr. Atkins was looking for ways to help his patients lose weight quickly. Today Atkins is an entire line of foods and is an accepted lifestyle.

Born in India, Deepak Chopra moved to the United States and has become a key figure in alternative medicine. From giving speeches to writing books and working with people from all walks of life, he has brought transcendental medicine and mediation to the mainstream and encourages people to treat their body and mind as a sacred whole.
