Part 1: Bride-to-Be Wedding Workout Series
Wedding season is right around the corner; when you’ll be handpicking your dress, venue and bridesmaids. But, with all of the running around, will you find the time to make sure you’re in your best shape for your perfect day? The day when all eyes will be on you?
For the first post in my Bride-To-Be Wedding Workout Series, I’ll be outlining the best exercises that will help sculp, tone & tighten your upper body for a strapless dress. Whether you’ve chosen a sweetheart, semi-sweetheart or straight across cut dress, you’ll need to over-index on exercises that will focus on your upper back, shoulders and arms.
Here are my top 3 exercises you should try:
- Jump-Rope: Skipping is one of the best exercises for all over conditioning. It incorporates cardio and hits all of the right spots: your shoulders, chest, back, triceps and biceps. (skip for 30-45 seconds for 3-4 sets)
- Reverse fly: This hits both your mid and upper-back along with your rear shoulders. (12-14 reps. 3-4 sets)
- Tricep kickback: Of course sexy arms are a must in any strapless gown and since the triceps are larger muscles, targeting them will definitely get you those killer arms in the most efficient way. (12-14 reps. 3-4 sets)
Do these 3 exercises in addition to cardio 3 to 4 times per week (non-consecutive days).
You can do these anywhere, anytime and, before you know it, you’ll be in the best shape of your life for the best day of your life!
